From Michael Lewis at Big Apple Soccer: Ronaldo could be a New York Red Bull sooner than reported. The Brazilian National Team star and Real Madrid striker is close to finalizing a deal to play for the Red Bulls after the World Cup, according to sources close to the MLS club and throughout the league. According to two league-wide sources, "it is a done deal," although that could not be confirmed from the Red Bulls.-The article goes on to say that French legend Zinedine Zidane & Dutch tough guy Edgar Davids are also on this teams list of pursuee's. I don't know how I feel about all of this. On one hand of course it's exciting, but it's also more of the same old crap with dudes coming here to play out the string under little or no pressure.
