It's Day 138 of 2016. Its a new day at FIFA, but guess what happened almost immediately? The same old things. The majority of FIFA members have no interest in changing how they have done business in the past: One of new president Gianna Infantino's first orders of business was to get a rule passed that that allows the executive committee to hire and fire members of the supposed independent audit and oversight committee. This prompted the current head of that committee to resign. Domenico Scala who was put in charge of cleaning up FIFA saw an even bigger power grab by the new executives taking place and said he would play no part in it.
