Francisca Ordega placed on the 45-day disabled list

The Washington Spirit placed forward Francisca Ordega on the 45-day disabled list because of a chondral defect on her right knee, the team announced Thursday. Ordega, who leads the Spirit with four goals this season, will undergo arthroscopic surgery. The team said she is expected to make a full recovery.
