The 93rd US Open Cup Final:Chicago 3-1 Los Angeles - Nate Jaqua scored early for Chicago in a goal mouth scramble, then Andy Herron doubled the lead on a great header to the far post off a Justin Mappinho cross, letting Chicago roll thru the first half. But LA came out smokin in the second half and Alan Gordon headed the score in half. Very late in the game with LA desperately looking for another goal, Tony Sanneh stormed down the left wing and fed Thiago a perfect centering pass for the Cup sealing goal for Chicago! Both teams played their asses off and tackled as hard as they could. A really fun and action packed game for sure. This is Chicago's 4th US Open Cup title! And the team has only been around 9 years! Not bad at all.Match Reports:-Chicago Tribune-Chicago Daily Southtown-Chicago Sun Times-LA Daily News-LA soccer News-Soccernet-US Soccer-MLSnet-US Players Association-MLSnet has the video highlights of the game-Andrea Canales of the LA Soccer News was impressed with the Chicago fans.~ ~ ~ ~The Denver
