Gautrat, the head coach, and Kilgore, the technical director, were removed a day after a 1-0 loss at home to the Utah Royals dropped the Dash to 12th place in the 16-team NWSL, 11 points below the playoff line. The Dash is the worst-performing team in NWSL history -- one playoff appearance (and one season with a winning record) in 11 campaigns.
