STARTERSChivas USA has bought fullback Heath Pearce and his glorious mustache from Dallas.STORY OF THE DAYIts now a day later and I am still extremely pissed off that NASL teams were excluded from the US Open Cup this year by US Soccer.The reason given by US Soccer is that when the schedule was drawn up the NASL had lost their sanctioning, so they just weren't included.My problem with this is that they new damn well that the NASL were not just going to stop bidding to have a leauge this year. I heard over and over that the two parties were in constant contact. Which means US Soccer knew NASL was making every effort to participate.Couldn't they have simply drawn up two Open Cup plans, one with NASL and one without?I don't like excuses like these. They are an easy cop-out. And in an era when we are all talking about giving every effort to promote the sport in our country, these things just make people disgruntled and wonder why we give so much in the first place.Come on, bend a couple rules and make this happe
