Magee was endorsed to take over as coach by the outgoing legendary coach Buzz Lagos. His getting the job was confirmed for me in a funny way. I was out last night at the St Paul watering hole known as the Muddy Pig when who should walk in but Amos himself. We knew he was a candidate for the job, and we knew there was a press conference scheduled for 11am today to name the new coach. One of my pals asked Amos if the job was his. Amos replied that his lips were sealed, which was good enough of a tip off right there. But I decided to take it on
