American League of Professional Football
The ALPF was a side project of six National League baseball owners, who wanted something to fill their ballparks after the 1894 baseball season ended. It lasted seventeen days. Crowds dwindled to a reported 13 for Brooklyn's home game against Philadelphia on October 18, and the league folded before the schedule was finished.
